L'Aquila can be easily reached by Bus from ROMA and PESCARA.

ROMA - L'AQUILA

The Bus from Rome to L'Aquila starts at TIBURTINA Railway Station (East Side of Rome):

The Rome Intnl Airport L.DA VINCI is connected to Tiburtina Station by local trains (from 6.15 AM to 0.15 AM) in approximately 45 minutes. (tickets cost is about 8000 ITL). By using Taxi from the Airport to Tiburtina is very expensive, (about 100.000 ITL);
It is possible to go from TERMINI Railway Station to Tiburtina via METRO line B (ticket price is 1500 ITL)

The BUS TICKET from Rome to L'Aquila must be purchased, before you step into the bus, at the ARPA (Abruzzi Region Bus Company) ticket office, located in the back of the building facing the bus parking lot. (If you find yourself in trouble ask someone) "dove e' la Biglietteria ARPA per favore?" The trip is about 1.30 h and it ends in Piazza Battaglione Alpini, downtown L'Aquila (close to the Spanish Castle). You may eventually step down at the first bus stop in L'Aquila at the Motel AGIP. This can be convenient to take a Bus to the University Campus of Coppito.

PESCARA - L'AQUILA

The BUS STATION is located close to Stazione Centrale:

From the Airport Pasquale Liberi bus to Stazione Centrale leaves every 10 minutes (from 5.30AM to 11.30PM).

The ticket to L'Aquila(about 13000 Lit) can be purchased at the Autolinee ARPA desk in Piazzale della Stazione.
The trip is about 1.50 h.

From Pescara to l'Aquila:

Working days: 6.00, 6.35, 8.00, 8.30, 10.30, 13.10, 14.05, 17.50, 19.30.

Holiday: 8.00, 13.00, 18.00, 19.45.

From L'Aquila to Pescara:

Working days: 6.00, 8.10, 10.00, 13.00, 14.10, 15.15, 16.10, 18.00, 20.30.
